7. How Rob discovered the True Meaning of Isandlwana
There is a very powerful element of reconciliation about Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. In 1999, on the 120th anniversary of battles, a church service was held at Rorke's Drift.
Attended by 120 serving soldiers from Wales, and thousands of Zulus, held in a spirit of reconciliation, it was a seminal event. The British have worked very hard to reconcile with the Zulus after this unfortunate war, and indeed the relationship today is a very cordial, warm one.
